Abstract
Layer upon layer of paint creates a space to which I respond anew by setting contrasts. Abstract work is a dialogue of call and response. Gesture leads the process, while structure demands boundaries and geometric interruptions. I am interested in the tension between chaos and order – the constant act of balancing both until a dynamic equilibrium emerges.
